I wish I was wise enough to have returned my mouse when I had this chance, now I have this highly expensive piece of shit that does nothing but annoy me. I've been waiting for them to resolve this issue for about 1 year now. Ergonomically and also from the features wise, this one is a popular and best-selling. This mouse will be definitely better than the previous version Logitech MX Master because this one has lots of useful features than that.

I encountered problems Logitech resolved with a software update published July 3, 2018. So, you may be satisfied with this one if you have any problems with the previous Master 2S mouse.

If you still have the chance to return the mouse, you should save yourself the stress and do it. Granted, some have observed Bluetooth connectivity issues mating the MX Master 2S to 2017-model MacBook Pros. Logitech doesn't give a shit about Mac users and they won't move their asses while they can use the Rosetta 2 as an excuse to not do their job. This is a work around, it will randomly fail again, you will do the same process, this will repeat forever.ĭon't expect this issue to be resolved anytime before Apple decides to take down Rosetta 2. Note: On the Mac, enabling of the back/forward buttons requires installation of Logitech Options software. It will re-spawn right away, when that happens, your device will work exactly as it should. Press the back or forward button to navigate web or document pages, depending on the location of the mouse pointer. If you want to check by yourself, you can use the Activity Monitor to kill the Logitech Options Daemon. Running over Rosetta 2 doesn't means it works as expected. But they don't give a shit if it runs properly or not. They are heavily relying on the fact that the software "runs" over Rosetta 2. But while the Logitech Options software actually runs on M1 Macs, it has lots of compatibility issues.Ĭurrently, Logitech has been doing nothing to have the software to work properly on M1 Macs. I've been complaining about it for about 1 year now, they claim that this isn't true, because the software runs on Macs. The thing with this is the fact that, even 1 year after these Macs have hit the market, Logitech didn't care about updating their software to run natively on the new processor architecture that these Macs have. It also happens to any device that depends on the Logitech Options software.

Notably, there are a few functions that Look up on a mouse doesn’t replicate exactly as a Force Click like pulling up App Exposé from the Dock and File image previews. It sports the ergonomic shape and highly customizable buttons like previous models, but now comes with USB-C, premium material upgrades, and more. Logitech’s latest mouse is the MX Master 3. I’ve also been using a Logitech MX Master mouse for years, but didn’t think about mapping a Force Click to one of its buttons until recently. But after a while, the firm press on the trackpad can get tiresome. I probably use Force Click several hundred times a day, as it’s really helpful to quickly look up links without fully opening a new tab or browser window.
